We are destroying 2/3 of Earth’s ecosystems
We’ve all heard about the doom and gloom environmentalists: global warming is wiping out small islands, rainforests are being burned for agriculture, cars are polluting the air, corporate agriculture is affecting our drinking water and on and on. So what makes a recent 2500 page UN Report, stating that two-thirds of our ecosystems are at risk so unique? Well first of all the report was completed by 1300 scientists from 95 countries. Secondly, the report not only points the finger at the environmental destroyers from ‘Western’ nations, it also highlights the role that Asian countries can play in caring for our fragile planet. Finally, the report is significant because we obviously haven’t been listening to any previous reports about the environment, because we are still destroying our planet at an alarming rate.
Wedding slideshow – new version
Well, if some of you already visited here you may have noticed the random order of the wedding slideshow. Darlene and I have added some more pictures (thanks Shari
and cleaned up the order, so now you get a new and improved chronological slideshow from the whole wedding weekend. It still might take awhile to load all the images for slower connections. We hope you enjoy

Wedding photos are coming…
Wow, isn’t she beautiful!! Here’s the first of many photos from the wedding. Please browse the photo slideshows on your left. My apologies for the long loading time and random order for the slideshow, regardless enjoy
Darin sent me this photo below and I did some photoshop techniques on it. I selected Darlene and I with the marquee tool, copied us into a new layer, then went back to the other layer and blurred it – giving the effect seen.
Swinging into married life
Wow! The last two weeks have been fabulous! If any of you do not know already, on February 26, 2005 Darlene and I were married at Listowel Missionary Church. The wedding was the most fun day in all the world, as it should be I might add. Our families and friends made the day very special with all of their speeches, stories and support. Darlene and I were quite suprised at all of our adventureous friends and families who took up many of our challenges during the reception time. Following our wedding day we spent half a week in a resort near Huntsville, enjoying many winter activities such as x-country skiing, toboganning, skating, snoeshoeing and even dogsledding! Don’t change that dial – pictures will be following shortly. Now we are back, getting settled into the swing of married life. Stay tuned here for lots of wedding pictures and more stories.
